Creator Agreement

Last updated: June 2025. This agreement applies to all creators who upload and sell content on Sound To Sounds.

1. Who This Agreement Applies To

This Creator Agreement ("Agreement") is between you ("Creator") and Sound To Sounds ("Platform") and governs your participation as a seller of audio sample content on the Platform. By submitting a creator application or uploading any content, you agree to be bound by this Agreement and our Terms of Service.

2. Content Ownership and Warranties

By uploading any audio file, sample pack, cover image, or other content, you represent and warrant that:

✓ You are the sole author and copyright owner of all uploaded content, or you hold all rights necessary to grant the licences described in this Agreement.
✓ Your content does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, neighbouring rights, or other intellectual property rights.
✓ Your content does not contain samples, recordings, or loops sourced from other sample libraries, marketplaces, or streaming services, unless you hold a valid redistribution licence.
✓ Your content was created by you and has not been published or sold on other platforms under terms that conflict with this Agreement.
✓ Your content does not contain hate speech, illegal material, or content that violates the rights of any individual or group.

3. Licence Granted to the Platform

By uploading content to the Platform, you grant Sound To Sounds a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:

— Store and back up your files on our servers and cloud storage.
— Display product pages, file listings, and pack descriptions on the marketplace.
— Generate and serve MP3 preview clips and waveform visualisations.
— Use cover art, audio clips, and screenshots for marketing the Platform and promoting your content on the Platform and its social media channels.
— Deliver purchased files to buyers under the terms of the Royalty-Free Sample License.

This licence does not transfer ownership of your content and ends when you remove the content from the Platform, except where copies have already been lawfully delivered to buyers.

4. Revenue Split

For each successful sale, you receive a share of the net sale value as determined by the Platform's current revenue split policy. The split is displayed in your Creator Dashboard and in the creator application form. The Platform's share covers payment processing, storage, infrastructure, and marketplace operations.

Payouts are processed subject to the minimum payout threshold and schedule set out in the Payout Policy. Creator earnings are calculated in EUR based on the credit value at the time of purchase.

5. Copyright Infringement and Indemnification

If a third party submits a copyright claim or takedown notice relating to content you uploaded, you agree to:

— Cooperate fully with the Platform's investigation of the claim.
— Provide evidence of your ownership or licencing rights upon request.
— Accept that the Platform may remove the content pending resolution of the dispute.

Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sound To Sounds, its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your content infringing any third-party intellectual property rights; (b) your breach of any warranty in this Agreement; or (c) any claim by a buyer that your content caused them harm.

6. Content Review and Approval

All uploaded sample packs are reviewed by the Platform before being made publicly available. The Platform reserves the right to reject or remove any content that violates this Agreement, our Terms of Service, or our content quality standards, without obligation to provide a reason.

7. Account Suspension and Termination

The Platform may suspend or terminate your creator account and withhold pending earnings if you: repeatedly upload infringing content; breach this Agreement or the Terms of Service; engage in fraudulent activity (e.g. fake purchases, manipulation of analytics); or cause harm to other Platform users. In cases of serious or repeated infringement, the Platform may also block future re-registration.

8. Removing Content

You may request removal of your content from the Platform at any time via your Creator Dashboard or by contacting support. Removal will take effect promptly for new sales. However, buyers who have already purchased your content retain their licence to use that content as described in the Sample License Agreement.

9. Changes to This Agreement

The Platform may update this Agreement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or via the Dashboard. Continued use of creator features after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Agreement.

10. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia and the European Union. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Latvia.
